Our DIGSUM SHARE meet-ups serve to provide Umeå University scholars an open and welcoming forum in which to discuss the digital methods and ethical questions that they are coming across in their research pursuits.
Informal in nature, the meetings are geared towards sharing works-in-progress with a research-practice slant. Participants can thus present anything from a draft paper to shorter accounts of their attempts to overcome glitches and develop new techniques or even use the opportunity to recommend and showcase digital tools, programmes and literatures.
The meet-ups take place regularly but in an ad-hoc manner meaning that their organisation is responsive to their attendees’ changing needs and commitments as researchers. Occasionally external visiting scholars will also be invited to present or participate. If you are interested in taking part in DIGSUM SHARE, get in touch with Sam Merrill, its acting convenor.
